During Roman times, this was the forum of Turin. The piazza you see today, however, is the work of architect Benedetto Alfieri who restructured the space in the 18th Century. In the center of the piazza stands the monument to the Count Verde di Pelagio Pelagi. Palazzo Municipale (1663) is still the center of municipal administration. On the other side of Palazzo Municipale you’ll find the small and delightful piazza Carpus Domini. Very near via Garibaldi. |
