Palazzo Falletti di Barolo

The most interesting architectural features of this building, which was restructured by Benedetto Alfieri in 1743, are the large staircase and the internal rooms (and today you have to make an appointment to visit them). The Marchesa Giulia Colbert Falletti di Barolo, a founder of the Opera Pia di Barolo, lived here, and Silvio Pellico worked in her service and spent his last years here. The Palazzo Falletti di Barolo is often used by the Region of Piedmont for special events and private showings of exhibits.
