This bookstore is part of a larger reality, that of the Gruppo Abele, and besides the bookstore, also unites a play space and children’s books under one roof.
Besides the usual editions of various types of fiction and non-fiction, it also offers a wide selection of books tied to social problems: poverty and social marginalization, welcome, immigration, inter-cultures and racism, drug problems, AIDS, lawfulness, justice, prison, prostitution, volunteerism, the environment and peace. All themes that, for over thirty years, the Gruppo Abele has researched and intervened in.
Active under another name since 1972, in December 2000 the Torre di Abele moved to the location of another memorable store of Torino: the former Libreria Petrini.
