Ah, what a gem. A very well-stocked and spectacular wine shop (sister store to the one on Via Andrea Doria), all shelving, maroon walls, important labels, precious and vintage nectars, a delightful delicatessen, a back-lit bar counter as well as a restaurant, at lunch, with light wood tables that are high-design (take a look at the chairs!), crystal, charm and tasty cuisine that ranges from pepper flan with anchovy sauce to rough spaghetti with spring onion pesto to dishes with truffles (in season, ça va sans dire). At lunch, you’ll spend 20 Euros and feel like you’re in New York (in fact, it’s even better than Dean & Deluca). The pre-dinner aperitivo is wonderful. |
