The sub-title for this event is rather eloquent: “Musical-Ethnic Hikes in Piedmont”. Folkermesse was started up in 1983 in Casale Monferrato and has since then invaded the whole region to become one of the largest European festivals dedicated to folk music. The event is made possible in part through the support and collaboration of the European Network of Traditional Music and Dance.
