On the second Saturday of September an old ritual is celebrated at the beautiful sanctuary of Oropa. The Raduno dei Margari celebrates the tradition of the transumanza, or the transporting of the animals from the mountains to the village for the winter. At the market set up for the event, you can purchase and sample the best cheese products of the area. |
