Once upon a time the entire block was dedicated to San Federico. Today, however, just the gallery retains the tradition. This gorgeous architectural gallery is nestled between piazza San Carlo and via Roma. It was inaugurated in 1933 – the anniversary of the fascist march on Rome – and it is now home to the cinema Lux and various other fancy and expensive stores. A piece of trivia: the newspaper “La Stampa” used to have its main offices here before moving to via Marenco. |
