Giovanni Arpino

Giovanni Arpino is perhaps the most intriguing, fascinating, and magical of the authors to come out of Turin. He was born in Lubiana, but he moved first to Bra and then to the region’s capital. His masterpieces include: “La suora giovane” (The Young Nun), “Domingo il favoloso” (The Legendary Domingo), and “La trappola amorosa” (The Love Trap). He also wrote for the newspapers “La Stampa” and “Il Giornale”. He died in Turin in 1987.
