This tiny and charming little piazza (piazzetta) contains a number of treasures: the “Hospicum signi corone” at the corner of via Porta Palatina (the cardo of the Roman City) and a mullioned window with two lights at number 5 of the piazza. A few meters away, on via della Basilica 5, you’ll find the so-called “Casa del Tasso” (16th Century Italian writer Torquato Tasso’s house), where Tasso apparently lodged in 1578 and where he wrote the dialogue “Alla nobiltà” (To the Nobility).
